Nicoletto will take the helm of Bertani Domains starting 2 March
Rome, 3 February 2020 – In the coming weeks, the Board of Directors of Angelini Holding S.p.A. will appoint Ettore Nicoletto as the new CEO of Bertani Domains.
A heartfelt thank you goes to Emilio Pedron, Chief Executive Officer of Bertani Domains since 2011 and renowned viticulture expert, for his excellent work over the years. He leaves the company having contributed to consolidating the management of the business for which he was responsible. He has held several positions at associations in the sector and, in particular, he helped Bertani Amarone achieve the DOCG classification, leading it to become one of the top 100 Italian wines.
After earning a degree in Business and Economics from the University of Ca’ Foscari, Ettore Nicoletto became immediately fascinated by the world of wine, beginning his career at Casa Vinicola Zonin, where he held various positions, including Exports Director.
In 2004, he moved over to the Santa Margherita Gruppo Vinicolo, where in 2005, he was appointed General Manager and then CEO in 2008. His goal was to grow the Group both organically and by acquiring new business.
Nicoletto has also held numerous positions at various associations: First, President, and now, Vice President of Italia del Vino, a consortium of the most influential Italian wineries; Vice President of the Vini di Federvini Group; President of the Tutela Lugana DOC Consortium; and Federdoc Board Member.
“I am excited about this role, which also comes with a new challenge. Bertani Domains is an excellent winery group with great potential, which I will be focussing on, exploring new avenues of growth and promoting existing ones”, stated Nicoletto. “I am happy to become part of the Angelini Group, a great company at the centre of a significant growth path”.
“We are confident that Ettore Nicoletto is the right person to face the challenges of an increasingly global market where, thanks to the quality of the Bertani Domains products, we want to grow, always taking on a more prominent role”, commented Angelini Holding President Francesco Angelini and Vice Presidents Thea Paola Angelini and Sergio Marullo di Condojanni. “We are a multinational group with strong Italian roots. It is also for this reason that we aspire to take our Made in Italy products to new heights. Our choice of new CEO, made with great care and attention, aims for this result”.
